The Sheffield 3DLab provides advanced visualisation and quantitative imaging services for NHS trusts, in particular Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, and for academic partners.
ABOUT THE LAB
The aims of the lab are to:
Maximise the available information from the image
Increase diagnostic confidence
Improve therapy and surgical planning
Improve communication of anatomy and physiology
Extract quantitative measures from images
Translate new image processing technology into clinical use

The lab now analyses over 300 cases per month.
A team of radiographers and clinical scientists in the Medical Imaging and Medical Physics directorate at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals perform the image analysis alongside radiologists.
